Questions
Good questions.
The answers people usually need before they write. If yours is not here, ask me directly.
The work
Natural horsemanship as a return to origin: the oldest way of being with horses, given a name so it can be taught and passed on. The foundation is built in freedom and consent, and it carries from the paddock to the trail.
Yes, a great deal. Pathways one and two live entirely on the ground, and a horse does not need to be ridden to be met, understood, and taken somewhere new together.
On the Dutch ground: one to one at your yard, horse training on location, and the Pathway stages across the seasons. The Retreat is the exception, once a year in South Africa.
The Pathways
Yes. The Pathways are walked with your own horse, because the work is about the two of you and the relationship you are building.
You do not choose alone. You send a short request, and I place you in the theme that fits you and your horse today. You can walk a theme again a year on and find something new in it.
Small, always. Enough to learn from one another, few enough that every horse is seen.
The figure and payment options are confirmed on application, so we can talk it through first. Payment can be spread across the year.
The Retreat
No. You join a free roaming herd who live there. The work is learning to read them, and to let yourself be read. What you learn, you carry home to your own horse.
No. Guests come from anywhere, at any level. You need curiosity and an open week, not a résumé.
Booking & practical
One door: the request form on the Book a place page. Tell me about you and your horse, and I reply in person within a few days. A place is a considered yes, never a checkout.
Yes. I travel for clinics and talks, invited by hosts and organisers, in the Netherlands and elsewhere. See the Clinics and talks page, and send your invitation through the same form.
The guided treks are private and client only: multi day treks for people and horses I already know and feel safe to take out. They are arranged with me directly, not booked from a page.

Tell me about you and your horse, and what you are running into. I read every request myself.
